These are the trailers for Benedict's upcoming biopic, The Imitation Game. He plays the WWII Enigma Codebreaker, Alan Turing. The film will open at the 58th Annual BFI London Film Festival in London on October 8th, 2014.
The Imitation Game will also be premiered at TIFF (Toronto International Film Festival) on September9 & 10.
The film will open in cinemas on November 14 in the UK and November 21 in the US.
The Imitation Game is a nail-biting race against time following Alan Turing (pioneer of modern-day computing and credited with cracking the German Enigma code) and his brilliant team at Britain's top-secret code-breaking centre, Bletchley Park, during the darkest days of World War II. Turing, whose contributions and genius significantly shortened the war, saving thousands of lives, was the eventual victim of an unenlightened British establishment, but his work and legacy live on.
The long-awaited fourth series of Sherlock is due to starting filming at the end of 2015 and air sometime in 2016. Is he alive? or isn't he?... The mystery behind Moriarty will finally be solved!

Benedict Cumberbatch takes on the title role of Shakespeare’s great tragedy. Directed by Lyndsey Turner and produced by Sonia Friedman Productions, the Barbican presents an exclusive twelve week run of this compelling new production in summer 2015.
As a country arms itself for war, a family tears itself apart. Forced to avenge his father’s death but paralysed by the task ahead, Hamlet rages against the impossibility of his predicament, threatening both his sanity and the security of the state
This will be Benedict's first time back on the London stage since Frankenstein at the National Theatre in 2011.
11/8/14 - All allocation of tickets to see Hamlet next year are currently SOLD OUT. It is advised that there could be more released by the Barbican or ATG - keep an eye on their websites. There is also the £10 scheme (100 tickets for each performance), information for which will be released sometime in 2015.
